So I have been collaborating with my lovely wife Nicole for my thesis project. I decided I wanted to design a few bags, have them made, do all the branding etc. So it’s been a perfect excuse to explore new places such as the Oregon Leather Company, fabric stores, online scouring to find wool felt. Craziness. I’ve managed to spend too much time and money on all this including two leather hides, five yards of 18oz duck cloth, 3 yards of quarter inch wool felt and 2 vintage sewing machines that were tough enough to sew this all together. The branding has been going alright, it’s the bag designing and pattern making and sewing that’s hard as heck {Nicole sews I cut out and help}, never the less we’ve managed to pump out a few goods. I’m really excited because I love bags especially hand made ones, especially ones that are out of sexy materials soo much stress and yet fun.
